TONY ORIFICI:
Tony's career in the Music Business began in the early 60's as a Vocalist/Guitarist and a founding member of the Prells, a group based out of Asbury Park, New Jersey. The Prells recorded and released 3 singles and toured the New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania Tri-State area, opening up for the 'Dick Clark Caravan of Stars' Summer tours and other recording acts of the era such as the Temptations, 4 Tops, 4 Seasons, Supremes, The Drifters the Tokens and many others. The Prells disbanded in 1966. After 4 years in the Army and 2 tours of Vietnam, Tony returned to music in 1972. Throughout the 70's and 80's, Tony toured the country as a Guitarist /Vocalist with Bands such as Before 'N' After...Shining Star..Salt and Pepper... Fire and Ice....Kicks...Back to Eden and Flash, and also worked as a Session Guitarist in Recording Studios throughout the Country. Over the course of his career, Tony has also been a member of Bands that have opened for, and recorded or performed with as a guitarist with Solo Artists Linda Ronstadt...Jackson Brown...Lionel Richie...Little Anthony....Richard Marx, and Lee Andrews to mention a few. Tony also has extensive experience as a Studio musician. In the mid 90's, Tony recorded a cover of the Song 'We Just Disagree' which was originally recorded by Dave Mason and written by the late Jim Black. Tony signed with Comstock Records and the record was released in Europe where it received rotation airplay and remained on the charts for over 5 months. After 18 years on the Road, Tony settled down St. Petersburg Florida. Tony joined up with Sonic Erotica in March of 1996. After the group disbanded in 1998, Tony worked with the Manhattan Project for a number of years, and also performed with other local acts in the Tampa bay area. At present, Tony has a Duo together called 'Rendezvous' which appears regularly in clubs in the St. Petersburg / Clearwater area, and continues as a session guitarist and vocalist in local studios. Tony is a regular with Ron And The Classics since 2007
