LEAD VOCALIST
Linda Carmicheal was born and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana. She made her first professional singing performance at the tender age of 5 years.
At 15, Linda began voice training and continued studying classical music, mainly opera for seven years. When Linda was 18 years old, she was the youngest singer ever to be accepted into the Indianapolis Symphonic choir. She also sang in Bach Choir as well as a professional Madrigal group.
Next, Linda expanded her singing style by doing some musical theater. That led to more popular music. While singing with a band for fun in downtown Indianapolis, Linda was discovered by Pete Brady. He had a five-piece band that performed in the Tampa Bay area. Linda's first job with Pete Brady's band was the opening of the Holiday Inn on Clearwater Beach.
Next, Linda was in a popular band in the area at the time called "Dark, Tan, and Lovely".
They went to open for Tiny Tim at Bay Front Center and cut an album.
Many bands would follow from duos to five-pieces. Linda even did a single act for a while before joining "The Bob Werner Band".
To name the clubs Linda has played would take too many pages.
Let's just say she has performed in many, many top clubs and country clubs in the area.
A little over 4 years ago Linda joined "Ron And The Classics". The group was right up Linda's alley, because she has been known for sounding very much like Connie Francis, singing "Where The Boys Are", and Karen Carpenter singing anything by the Carpenter's.
It was a perfect match because Linda loves the 50's, 60's 70's and 80's music, and the band loves Linda's vocal abilites and the harmonies she add to the already vocally powerful group.
